A father and son team, Carl and Mike Dewert, run out of Union, Missouri in the Super Farm class. Carl Dewart started pulling tractors in 1968 as a freshman in high school.

The whole sport has changed so much since then.  When Carl started there was no mechanical sled.  The competitors would pull a sled and as they went down the track, people would get on the sled to make it heavier!

In 1984, Carl decided to go into a higher horsepower class and bought an AC-D21.

In 1991, Carl became a member of the Missouri Pro-Field Pullers and rebuilt the tractor to pull in the 8000 and 10,000 lb. Pro. Field Classes. Mike, his son, joined the team in 1993 and now runs the 8000 lb. Pro Field Class.

In 1997, the team moved into a higher class with a larger turbo charger, a slider clutch (similar to what a funny car or drag racer uses) and a larger fuel pump to run unlimited R.P.M.

They are now pulling with Illinois Tractor Pulling Association and East Central Tractor Pullers Association in the 9300 lb. Super Farm Class.
